Timeshout is a community-driven event calendar that allows people to find, post and coordinate events around the world. Timeshout allows users to share their favorite events in many helpful ways. Members can publish events on a blog, social network or website, can invite friends to check out favorite events and then add them to their Timeshout scene: the best way to keep track of upcoming events.
We use both personally identifiable information that a user chooses to provide such as gender, age, area of residence, etc and non-personally-identifiable information such as cookies, IP addresses in order to improve the quality and design of our service as well as to provide the user with a more personalized experience.
We use cookies, IP address tracking and clear gifs in order to allow our users to login without entering their ID and password each time they use Timeshout, to provide visitors with a more tailored service such as presenting events or advertisement related to their searches and preferences and to understand how our service is used and to establish trends that can be used to provide our users with a more useful experience.
A user is not required to join Timeshout in order to use most of our services. However certain features such as reminders, creating friend groups, public profile, calendars, etc requires a basic membership. Only an email is required to create an account. To receive SMS reminders, you will need to provide your cell phone number; we'll only use this to send you reminders. Email address are displayed only when a user invites a friend via email to join the service, when a user requests to add another user to their friend list, and when we send notifications to a user related to their use of the service. Email addresses and SMS numbers of Timeshout members are never displayed to other users on the system. Members of the site can communicate with each other through the Timeshout service without disclosing their email addresses.
We do not use your email address or other personally identifiable information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. We may, however, use your email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major Timeshout site changes or for customer service purposes).
Members may optionally choose to create a public profile by providing additional information such as their gender, interests, area of residence, etc. Email addresses and phone numbers will not be included in your public profile. Events and calendars that a member creates will be publicly displayed unless it is marked as personal or for group use. If an event or calendar is for group use, then all members of that group will have access to that information.
Members can access, update or terminate their account by logging onto Timeshout end editing their account/profile settings.
We will not sell, lease or exchange your personal data to third parties without first obtaining your express consent, unless required by law or to protect your membership.
A member may choose to invite friends to our service. In order to do so, we will as for their email address and send them an invitation as well as up to two reminders. We will not sell these email addresses or use them to trasmit information other that the invitation. We will store this information for the sole purpose of tracking invitations and reminders and to measure the effectivness of our referral program. We will remove this information at the request of the friend receiving this invitation.
The Timeshout site may contain links to other websites. Timeshout is in not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites our users choose to visit. If our users provide any information directly to parties other than Timeshout, different rules may apply to the use or disclosure of the personal information disclosed. Users are encouraged to to investigate and ask questions before disclosing their personal information to third parties.
Timeshout may choose to present third party advertising on the service. Ad view and click information would be used to serve ads and cookies may be set by the ad server in order to provide a targered experience to users.
In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will not knowingly provide access to Timeshout to persons under the age of thirteen (13). In fact, Timeshout is only open to persons at least 13 years old as required in our Terms Of Use. If Timeshout later learns that any member is under the age of thirteen (13), we will take appropriate steps to remove the member's information from the database and we will restrict this individual from future access to the Timeshout service.
